How to get to the “Cannstatter Wasen”.
By public transport:
S-Bahn (suburban railway):S1, S2 and S3 to stop Bad Cannstatt (Cannstatt railway station)
Straßenbahn (tram): Line 42 (stop Mercedesstraße)
Stadtbahn (city railway):
U1 (stop Mercedesstraße)
U9 (stop Schlachthof)
U11 (stop Mercedesstraße or Cannstatter Wasen)
U13 (stop Wilhelmsplatz)
During the Cannstatt fair, the trains/trams operate from early morning to approx. midnight and later.
From Stuttgart city centre via the B14:
König-Karl-Brücke, turn right in direction Mercedesstraße, straight on in direction Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion to the Cannstatter Wasen, which lies to your right.
From direction Munich A8:
Exit Wendlingen, via B10 Plochingen/Esslingen to exit Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion. Then follow the Talstraße to the Cannstatter Wasen.
From direction Frankfurt A8:
Exit Münchingen, via B10 Zuffenhausen, Pragsattel, Bad Cannstatt to exit Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion. Then follow the Talstraße to the Cannstatter Wasen.
There are various opportunities for parking directly next to the Cannstatter Wasen.
Furthermore, public transport provides several park and ride car parks, from where you can get to the Cannstatter Wasen via S-Bahn or Stadtbahn.
Stuttgart can be easily reached from all directions by train. This applies to local trains as well as long-distance trains. Most local trains from the Remstal or the South operate via Bad Cannstatt. In any case, all trains run via Stuttgart main station. From there, either use S-Bahn lines S1, S2 or S3. Or use the lines of the city railway or tram (see above).
